    Average wage in Australia: 80k
    Monthly after tax: $5200

    Average house in Australia: 563000 (Nov 2014 Abs).
    Repayments on 5% interest rate is $3023

    Repayments on 7% interest rate is $3746

    So an average household income with two people working is $10,400 and repayments even at 7% is only $3746

    Wow so unaffordable
