Thanks forrest. I won't buy carbon copy properties either. I like to go for the cheapest properties with decent size blocks, with a nice modest home that would appeal to the broadest range of people, preferably a neglected ex-rental. I'm on the lookout for properties I could potentially positively gear but there are none around now. I'm considering taking some time off(if I can raise enough cash on the stock market) to fly around australia and try to isolate some cheap pockets. I have found a few on the net by cross referencing some figures, but I won't buy property without seeing it either.
