I was just bemused by the doomsayers and wondered about their motives. Hidden agendas always lead to exaggerated claims. It seemed to me that a few people theorising and most likely out of touch with the market,led the sillier ones one the forum to make even more exaggerated claims.
I wasn't taking it personally I was merely trying to point out the foolishness of the claim that old people would go to the wall. They are generally insulated from the vagaries of the property market on the downside.
A little bit of irony or at the worst sarcasm helps the more intelligent to re-focus. Some characters take themselves too seriously to be helped.
