I heard a 30 year old English guy (Just got Permanent Citizinship) saying that his parents had sold up in ENgland and are buying a Penthouse appartment in Brisbane. They are not wealthy landowners back home but the pound is making them wealthy ones here. I know there is alot of foriegn investment going on and this may be inflating the prices. The imagrants are bringing out the folks. There are alot of ENglish and Americans and only 19million australians. A Japanese guy just paid 16 million for the penthouse off the plan for the highest appartment block in the world on the gold coast. Im just not sure that is Australians putting up the prices.
