The point is, anyone buying real estate now for capital growth will see their investment go the way tech stocks went 2 years ago.
The rule of thumb used to be...$100 rent received for every hundred thousand the property is worth.
These days in Sydney the ratio has trebled, rentals have decreased by up to 20%.The market is glutted. Oh yes my friend, the bubble WILL burst and retirees will see their nest eggs plundered if they rely on R/E capital growth now.
The party is over. My mistake is I sold up 4 months to early. I will be buying back similar property for 50% of current value in 12 mths. I have never been so sure of anything in my life.
