P77, i am from the UK and also have property investments there.
In the below link is a table of Uk BASE interest rates since 1970, you will see they have never been lower that 3.5% for the base rate which was once in 2003, and any retail rates would never have been much lower than 5%.
Im note trying to annoy you, but 2% interest rates is a dream someone had, maybe you were lied to. Or Perhaps you went to america instead and got confused?
