    I was very careful to specify which sort of properties did not fall GENERALLY. The Aus-wide drop is a matter of public record and not subject to my memories.

    I was also careful to state that the period in question did see a drop and that it is a guess on my part that the majority of the 10% drop was due to high rise units and prestige properties not median level houses in median suburbs.

    As to the young well thankyou it's quite refreshing to be thought of as young, naive well I guess that's a better word than others I've been called.

    If you do a search on Google you'll find plenty of data showing median property prices for most periods in Australia's history. I dug up some data for a similar discussion a couple of months ago, check out earlier posts for the links.
