Property developers to offer to offer solar and storage

Interesting article below as Australian property developers are exploring the option of not connecting newly built housing estates to the electricity grid, but instead offering solar and storage as part of a standard package.

Article goes on to say the economic benefits would be huge "as it costs millions to connect new developments to the grid, but renewable based micro-grids can deliver electricity for an effective levellised cost of energy in the low to mid 20c/kWh"

This type of development seems to have taken off overseas and we are even seeing similar examples here in Australia with "communities that are already off-grid, but are dependent on diesel or gas, looking to ditch fossil fuels and use renewables and storage instead."

About time we heard some good news from Redflow as to how their commercial sales are progressing - thought something may have filtered through by now!
