I’m probably biased growing up in Karratha and living there 20+ years but Karratha is probably the most diverse resource town with iron ore, fertiliser, salt and oil and gas. Also although iron ore did contribute to the boom in Karratha it was oil and gas that was the major contributor to the town with 3 large projects in a row including Woodside phase IV, phase V, and Pluto gas plant.
