Once you buy, you lock in your debt in todays dollars - FIXED

You need to add at least inflation to your rental costs when comparing over life of mortgage (20-30 years)

one goes DOWN and stops!
the other goes UP forever!

this is where renters lose big time as they compare the short term view only. aka Massey etc
