I recently went to country town south of Perth me and the missus checked out a few display homes in a new suburb. I can walk in and get a brand new 4x2 with study, theatre, landscaped etc... for $350k 2 hrs south of Perth.
Fair enough Sydney n Melbourne and localized areas are expensive but you have to put it into perspective people. You're saying property gunna crash so what am I going to be able to pick a new house up for $200K soon? That's less than a years salary to some.
I have a Taiwanese worker at the moment I asked him if Australia's property is expensive compared to Taiwan. He said capital cities are comparable in the heart of it all for a nice unit you can't buy one there for cheap similar to our prices..... Difference is wages there are a tenth of what they are here.
Gone are the days we can all have inner city living in a 3 bed unit 10min out for $250K because theres a few million people after the same thing. It isn't the 1970's anymore.....
