    Its a fact that some real estate agents give bad tennants a good reference, just to get rid of them.
    The situation at the moment with people losing their homes, getting evicted, then having to rent at exhorbitant prices is self destroying.
    People who lose everything or who spend most of their income on rent, tend to lose hope, and the respect they have for the "the haves" tends to diminish significantly.
    The last thing i would do would be to buy a rental property in these times of falling asset values and uncertain times.
    Maybe i'm getting old but young people of today mostly have no respect for anything, they have this "all about me" syndrome.
    Their priorities are twisted, most kids i know have massive credit card debt by the time they are 25.
    I know couples who were allowed to borrow the full price of their house and now are watching their asset devalue as they struggle to keep up payments.
    The bank wanted me, in my day to have at least 30% deposit.
    Times are tough, no doubt, but we bring it on ourselves.
