One cant stop guys like BIS, ANZ and others reporting their opinions and forecasts. If that happened i think we would have greater issues to deal with than what we have now!
However we can make them a little more accountable. Perhaps more disclaimers might be useful. E.g, for BIS a disclaimer that it earns income from property developers, etc, which, BTW, it does.
It would also be useful if these guys were forced to disclose previous forecasts they have made and why they had to revise those forecasts.
