    i doubt that it costs more to build this year than it cost last year or year before (last times these two made any profit, anyway...)...

    to close of a comparison for expenses to 'skyrocket'...if anything, labor is going down (with sackings encouraging building workers to 'rethink' hourly rates)

    but i do agree that nothing will "affect ongoing downwards pressure on property prices" (as you put it) simply due to lack of interest at these price levels...
