    I'm sorry you don't understand. Retailers don't offer a discount for cash.

    They don't need to since the credit card surcharge legislation was enacted in 2003. The transaction cost for using a credit card is added at point of sale as a surcharge, usually between 1 and 2%.

    If the retailer doesn't have surcharges for credit cards it's becuase they are ripping you off if you pay cash or by debit card. Of course Coles and Woolworths don't have surcharges because they are happy to rip people off. Shop at Aldi instead.

    Hmm.. must be why Aldi are MUCH cheaper than Coles and Woolworths.
