    5% in a bank or buy a depreciating investment based on poor fundamentals in an over inflated market in uncertain economic times.... I would have thought the choice would be easy.

    Property is not attractive at all if the value does not appreciate over time. Think about boom and bust, we are heading for a recession like it or not. Values will fall like it or not.

    Sure you may be able to get a tenant (although not a guarantee in these economic conditions)to pay some of the interest but what then, you still owe a heap on something that is depreciating. Common sense booz.
