Slappi my question wasn't whether property or term deposits are better and i definitely won't be sticking my $ in a term deposit. Also, my prop has risen $40k in just over a year so has not fallen 10%. Bank is happy to think it's worth $410k so that is all that matters. They don't look at median prices for the area whatever they may be...
