I am not sure if you have already set up in U.S.A. or you are going to.
Either way, you might be able to confirm my theory on U.S.A. housing loans.

Once upon a time it was possible in Australia to get a fixed interest rate for the whole term of the loan....example, fixed for 25 years.
The rates for 25 years were at the going rate at the time and not substantially more as banks will charge today to lock in on a fixed term of 5 years.

My question is this:-
I believe that it is normal to be able to lock in at fixed rates in the U.S.A. for the full term of the loan.
Can you confirm this?
