I agree Andrew. I read the Property Section of the Sat Courier Mail front to back and its clear Properties are still moving here in Brisbane. One other "rule of thumb" indicator I notice is how long "For Sale" signs are around before they have a "Sold" or "Under Contract" sticker on them. I drive to and from work from the City to New Farm via Ivory Street Tunnel and it was clear when things really started to boom about a year or so ago, maybe a bit longer, when in a period of a month about 12 Properties that were "For Sale" suddenly all had "Sold" stickers.

I noticed going through Hendra this morning that 4 Properties must have sold in the last week.

I agree the "Dockside" Inner City situation ala Melbourne will certainly hurt the inner city unit market, I mean most of these would be investment properties, but overall things will not fare so badly and especially in Brisbane.
