One thing I would consider carefully before borrowing to invest in property is the possible direction of interest rates in that five year period. If things pick up inflation may increase, interest rates may rise and taxes may increase to pay for those budget deficits that we are going to have. Do your sums carefully as ownimg investment property incurs ongoing costs, like Land Tax, rates, maintenance, insurance and etc.
