    what use are dividends when the market is still 30% below peaks after 7 years!
    fools gold

    as for short time frames, most men make their fortunes if ever from 30 - 50,
    7 years is 25% of your prime earning years!

    All Ords down 30% over this period, so who cares about 4% dividends.
