Interesting comments! I have argued the case for Franking credits and lobbied others to do likewise. One fact which came up during the last 12 mths was, statistical information of "what were the facts" was old. Kerryn Phelps said as much and suggested to wait. $1.6m threshold will change the stats results dramatically.

Highest income earners were paid lower refunds in total dollars. Compared to lower income earners whose refund were worth more in total dollars . Seems to me system is working as it should and cap has made a difference. This statistic will come out in time and prove the current system is fair.
There a large number of citizens who hold Australian shares but have no interest in market. Have a few $ invested really rely on that franking credit to pay a few bills.
