^...mind you there are some companies (who even though they make a profit) still seem to think they have to issue more shares (particularly to outsiders)
Even though they are profitable, they still continue to dilute existing holders!!!
And they can be some of the biggest companies on the market.!.. (think the big 4 banks since the GFC!)
I believe this is even a greater "crime" on their existing shareholders. They make money - but they still seem to think they have to issue countless shares "outside"...
All they are doing is "feeding the chooks" in the big end of town hen yard....
A tight share registry (not always...it depends how shares are issued)... but usually IMO, is one of the key stock picker indicators.
