I don't think there would be opposition to the underlying stocks being combined.
VG1 is a victim of its name... the VGI stench with a hint of Luciano megalomania.
I am sure PGF holders would be aware of the VGI fiasco...
it makes sense to combine the global funds - especially for scale.
Regal would also know that without said action, they are likely to face extreme pressure to wind up VG1. It's definitely in the best interests of them to act now - and prevent activists from prying the FUM away.
I am only a small holder, who has been looking to dump VG1 for a long while. If they were to implement the merger - I would likely reconsider. I am sure I am not the only one either.
I am obviously biased being a VG1 holder.
