The ASX does not need to be tipped off. It is a mechanical process. Each company has an ASX adviser that monitors its announcements. One look at the Appendix 5B released on 31-Oct-12 and they would have seen cash outflows for the quarter on operational activities of $7.5 million (including income for the quarter of $2.7 million) and a bank balance at the end of the quarter of $2.3 million. Obviously the Company could not repeat the Sep Qtr in the Dec Qtr, it would run out of cash. The ASX query would have been automatic.
