ASX Announcement
6 October 2010.
ELA 25454 ?KILLI KILLI SOUTH PROSPECT?.
PROPOSED EXPLORATION FOR RARE EARTHS.
A recent ASX release by Orion Metals Limited (ASX: ORM) dated 15 September
2010 highlighted that company?s early success with assay results for reconnaissance
rock chip samples on it?s Killi Killi Hills tenements. The samples that were assayed by
Orion indicated in particular the presence of heavy rare earth elements as well as
uranium and gold.
For the information of investors, Oklo advises that the Orion tenements mentioned
above border ELA 25454 which was lodged by Oklo with the NT Government in 2007
for the purpose of assessing its uranium potential. The tenement, which covers an
area of 144 km2, remains in the form of an Exploration License Application at this
time.
In the light of the early success achieved by Orion, especially in relation to its heavy
rare earth assay results, plus the occurrence of what appears to be an emerging
global shortage of ?rare earth? type minerals, Oklo further advises that it intends to
take steps to expedite the granting of its ELA. Upon grant of this application Oklo
intends to carry out a preliminary exploration programme on the area.
Oklo will provide additional details on its proposed work programme to explore for
rare earth minerals at Killi Killi once the grant of its application has been confirmed.
