Seen that you always knows someone to make a comparison with, if I was you I would tell your local Chemist which apparently you know very well to know all of his private banking requirements, to look for another Bank. For, that is laughable and ridiculous at best.
Unless of course he is a higher risk entity. The higher the risk, the higher the interest rates that the lending institution will charge.
