This was posted on HC about Prospect D some months ago...
"In 2004, BHP/Mithrill conducted a $1M drill and geophysics program after exercising an option
to Joint Venture with the owners of EL 23186. Following BHP taking over Western Mining Corp
in June 2005, BHP did not proceed to a proposed JV development with the owners of Prospect
D. In their reports on their drill program BHP/Mithril described the mineralisation as having the
potential to host sulphide mineralisation of a style similar to the massive Voisey’s Bay Nickel
deposit in Canada."
For those that don't know, SIR's Nova deposit is also described as being the same style as the massive Voisey's Bay Nickel Deposit.
Some of the old holes include 4.65% nickel and 1.4% copper, 2.86% nickel and 2.27% copper, 1.22% nickel and 8.27% copper. More importantly, strike length is over 2 Kms and 4 conductors have been identified.
