Not since 1931 has any government failed to win a second term. So predictable has the victory become that political commentators routinely refer to the “reluctance” of voters to despatch a government after just one term.

But given Labor failure to really act on climate, cost of living pressures, and immigration for wage suppression and keep the housing ponzi going for real estate and developers, just like the LNP lite. There will be people drifting away from the major parties.

The Teals have delivered and progressive grass roots independents movement are starting to look for suitable candadites in their community.

The Greens have the youth vote and as they get older they aren't moving on to Labor. Cost of housing and lack of wages growth has them rightly questioning who is looking for them. Like it or not the Greens are offering alternatives too.

One Nation and all the cooker parties will not doubt be secretly funded by billionares and may have impact, but given Clive's relative failure at the last election after spending $100m on Ads, I doubt it
