As a private company in the USA, it might be hard to get additional finance for new projects. Lines of credit are tight there at the moment. If they were listed they could make a placement to cover it. Sometimes you have to look after over here before you look after over there (on a deep water wildcat!). You need deep pockets for deep water work. Could Hunt risk dropping $65M? I think not in this economic climate.
