Even though tin is likely to pass the previous nominal high of US$25,500/t very soon, it's still a long way off reaching the inflation-adjusted high from 1978. I haven't calculated a graph in 2010 dollars, but here's one in 2006 dollars....
Tin (and VMS) could well have a long way to run.
