    SP500

I have held GDN twice, the last occasion I held 400000 shares until yesterday. My only regret is that I didn't follow my own trading rules and exit earlier when the SP hit my trailing stop on Monday.

How does that effect my credibility? If I still held the stock today I would still have the same decision to make: Exit before the SP drops further and salvage some of my trading capital or pray that the SP recovers. The decision becomes harder the further the SP drops. There is nothing from a technical or fundamental analysis that would support holding this stock or buying into it at present.

If you're holding on the hope of good news, that is not investing, it's gambling. No different to the mug on a losing streak at a casino. You can cut your losses and leave the table or keep throwing good money after bad hoping your luck will change and the next hand will be a winner, so you can win back what you've lost. The longer you stay the harder it is to leave.

If it comes to credibilty, I would think that you're the one with a problem SP500. Attacking posters merely because they have an opposite point of view is a sign that you're either desperate or delusional. Before you try to flame me in response, read my other posts on GDN and you will see that I am neither a ramper or flamer of the stock. But you just keep on flaming anyone who doesn't share the dream. I'm sure it will give you comfort while you wait for that promised blue sky to appear.
