I have to agree with Potgut purely on the basis of dodgy management.
With everything they have done to date with apparent misrepresentations etc, it wouldn't surprise me if this was a well orchestrated move to drive the sp down to allow the boys to come in an clean up. Not that hard to do when you think about.
1. Talk up the find and prospects with phrases such as "as good as it gets"
2. Make your first target the least likely
3. Post poor results
4. Watch the sp fall on news
5. Clean up the lower priced shares with buying frenzy that may drive sp higher next week
6. Hit the more likely find and collect a fairly decent yield
Someone mentioned this last night and I firmly believe this theory.
The difference is that I'm not going to sell. I'll see if little old me can run with the "sophisticated" investors and make a profit as well. Screw 'em.
