As long as they don't continue to expect 'a free lunch forever' (as some non-indigenous people also expect) they are certainly better off. You have to get off your ....and do something for yourself and not expect someone else to always do it for you!
Noel Pearson has the right approach that can advance indigenous welfare, and not the kind that requires constant Government handouts.
