How many LYC shareholders know the Star Newspapers and all the "mainstream print media" are government controlled mouthpieces?
Malaysia is a country where opposing news are suppressed by the government. Many Malaysians get their news from the internet and there is a swelling discontent with LAMP.
The general election that must be held before April 2013 will determine the future of LAMP.
If the opposition wins, that will be the end of LAMP. If the current government wins by a slim majority, LAMP is still not out of the woods. Recently at the first sign of political dissent, a few ministers have spoken out stating LYC must remove the waste from Malaysia.
Many are speculating Najib Razak (current Prime Minister)may not survive the election if the government fails to win handsomely. IF the Najib Razak faction lose power, so will his cronies influencing the LAMP approval. Do not be surprised if his enemies (within Najib's own political party)opt to oppose LAMP to nudge Najib out.
Nothing is impossible in politics and more intriquing where corruption is involved.
