The website that posted this article (Aliran) is an activist publication that advocates rebellious change on any issue that will fill their pages... From their site:

"Since 1977, we have been planting the seeds of public awareness of critical political, economic and social issues. Over the years, we have lobbied hard for wide-ranging reforms in all aspects of public life. (Pages from the Past) Today, the stirring cries of "Reformasi" ring out for all to hear!"

This is a good illustration of an activist group inciting the people on the Lynas issue... The article is sensationalized and the basis is political, not factual information to allow the people of Kuantan to make a decision beneficial to their health, economy and well being...

BTW, just when is Mothers Day in Malaysia...
