It's probably more because have a dollar worth more than the USD and going up, wages that are several times higher than Malaysia and a workforce that is probably less educated and qualified in the area of advanced chemical industrial applications than Malaysia's.
A change of government in Australia would have no effect on those factors. Malaysia would still be a better choice than Australia under a Lib government for the LAMP
