yeah i remember reading that lynas were building the plant in malaysia a while back, and thinking it must be super cheap if its worth setting up a whole shipping network just to process the stuff...
lets just hope the waste is treated as if it were australia's backyard... and that savings do come from set up / opex etc, and not from waste disposal side of things...
