Of course those count but I do not recall Iraq trying to justify the invasion of another counrty because of human rights violations then commiting human rights violations themselves.
The US made a big deal out of demonising Saddam and claiming their aim was to free the Iraqi people, it is the US that was improperly claiming the high moral ground and therfore deserve every bit of ridicule and criticism being thrown at them.
