"Maurice was long gone before the downtrend of the LNG share price" - No.
In any case, Maurice Brand did create enormous shareholder wealth at LNG Ltd on the back on the 2014/15 US LNG wave at the time. Well done to him and holders. However its brownfield LNG projects (Bear Head LNG / Magnolia LNG) never made it any further than being a prime bit of real estate.
