prove it was me wearing the burka, page-20

Apart from the obvious identity issues, what bothers me about the burqa is that it is a symbol of oppression.

It is all fine and dandy for women here to speak stridently about their 'freedom of choice' to wear the burqa.

In many countries women HAVE NO CHOICE but to wear the burqa. Their skin never sees the sunlight, and they get horrible diseases as a result of the deficiences they suffer.

They are kept prisoner and not allowed an education or any kind of 'freedom' at all. Where is the freedom of choice for these women? I for one would like to see the burqa banned in Australia.
