He probably wouldn't be happy if the moral codes, societal values, law and legal systems that came from the Christian ethos also disappeared.
He wants his cake and eat it as well. Retain all the good stuff yet throw the religion out?
Not sure why he can't grasp why if something works, there's a reason why it works, even if there are Christian beliefs that now contradict science.
