I must admit, I've been scratching my head on this one since they announced it - can someone please explain to me how it makes it any harder for shorters at all ? When I buy shares I look at how MUCH $value I am willing to buy - I don't give a rats how MANY shares that equates to. If I was shorting I would do the exact same. So how does the number of shares change the shorters universe at all - either there is a value of shares a potential shorter can 'borrow' to short or there isn't. Whether that equates to a million shares or a billion shares is immaterial.
Happy to be wrong on this but to me it sounds like rubbish.
