Lenders aren't at risk, the shorters are. I short a truck load of shares over time, market turns and I want to cover, I might find my pants around my ankles as I try and buy back my shares.

I'm not saying the stock won't be shorted, just that it'll carry a lot more risk to cover.

I'm tired now and will have to lie down
