More than 140 Companies Expected to Present Their Story WASHINGTON--(Business Wire)-- The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) today announced the initial selection of presenting companies for the 15th Annual BIO CEO & Investor Conference to be held February 11-12, 2013 in New York City. All presenting companies are hand-selected for the event, and consist of both private companies and mid-to-large cap established public companies from around the globe. Companies are chosen based on a selection process evaluating a company`s pipeline and R&D activities as well as their focus on biotechnology therapeutics.
"This year`s conference will better accommodate the growing diversity of investors and companies. While the majority of presenting companies at our event are publicly traded, with about half trading with market capitalizations above $100M, for the first time this meeting will also include a unique track that features up to 25 high-caliber and established private company presentations," said Alan Eisenberg, Executive Vice President of Emerging Companies and Business Development at BIO.
