I think you and some other new entrants to NEO have been distracted by the gas. The shallow gas is a bonus. So even if (a big if), the gas is no good... the original play for monterey oil still exists.
You have to go way back to the JH1-1 announcement... and now they are testing it... I believe that this will be the most exciting time... rather than the gas testing, which is also occurring simultaneously. The original holders were in it because of JH1-1... the gas was a pleasant surprise.
With NEO trading < 5c, you'd have to say that no value is being attributed by the market to the possibility of JH1-1 oil success.
Until you see more than 100 trades per day on NEO, I doubt you can say the trading activity is an indicator of anything.
