Petsec revises net gas pay & In news round up Elsewhere, the Sydney-based Petsec Energy continued its share price advance in response to the flow of positive news from the drilling of its Vermilion gas well in the Gulf of Mexico, adding 5¢ to a year high of $1.13.
The group said that it had about doubled its estimate of the well's net gas pay zone from last week's 13-15 metres to 24-29 metres. Production casing will be set before suspending the well for future completion.
