Good call Rastus, if that’s correct then it’s quite likely that nukes could have been why Nixon turned his back on Thorium research.. I’ll be honing that one for the next dinner party anyhow..
I still get the feeling that the idea of refining thorium is more about waste disposal in countries that 1. already have nuclear storage/generation facilities and may be able to use it one day AND 2. whom have stringent waste policies.
In Malaysia I doubt Lynas would want to go to the trouble of refining and then the crazy act of storing the bloody stuff at 99.9% purity when they are having political issues at 00.01% purity
Even if Najib wants nuke power, I doubt he wants th stored on home soil while they build the plants.
I doubt Curtis or Najib would be entertaining the idea- not before TOL or the election anyhow..
