In fact, your very clear logic should be made more widely available to the numerous Ill-educated members of the Luddite 'environmental activist' groups who tend to dominate the left media and politics in Australia and most of 'Old Europe'.
I was born in, and have lived most of my 71 years in, houses made from fired clay bricks. I know that the 'normal background radiation' we are all exposed to without any ill effect is greater than that of the residue from the LAMP.
I'm also aware that without some amount of natural background radiation we humans would not have evolved to dominate our planet and its environment - but perhaps that's getting off-topic....
