my reading of the quoted portions of the release is different to yours. For me, the initial mention of "for the first time" seems to be referring to improvements BTX 1308 had that (specifically) the placebo (vehicle) treated and untreated sections of psoriasis didn't show. No mention of the comparator. In the paragraph with the 2nd use of "for the first time", for me the paragraph is a tad confusing. The use of a comma after "vehicle (placebo)" seems misplaced. I would read this to also be specifically comparing normal skin, vehicle (placebo) treated skin and BTX 1308 treated skin. Again no mention of the active comparator treated skin as being included in the heat map.

I'm not suggesting your assessment is wrong, only that for some reason the release specifically omits comparisons with the active comparator. It may be as someone has mentioned above, the 19 days that the study extended over is considered too short for a true indication of effectiveness? Something Phase 1B trials aren't required to show? I agree with you that the overall tone of the release is positive, and hope your prediction that more data will be released comes true
